I started this operation in 2016 after walking a Newport Beach job where the previous crew had blown R-30 over unsealed top plates and called it finished. The homeowner paid for insulation and got a wind tunnel. That job became the model for what we don’t do. Before I write any scope, I run the blower-door test myself - a pressurization reading that shows, in one number, how much air your building envelope is losing. I grew up in construction, but I learned attic work in the field, crawling through Harbor View Hills and Lido Isle homes with a smoke pencil and a manometer. I don’t use words like “passionate” or “dedicated.” I show up, I measure, I put it in writing. Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running attic crews since 2014, and he’s the reason our Newport Beach jobs finish with before-and-after blower-door readings that mean something. Elena joined us in 2019 after six years doing commercial envelope work in Los Angeles. She handles our blown-in fiberglass and cellulose installations across Newport Heights and Eastbluff, and she’s certified in Owens Corning’s AttiCat system and GreenFiber’s dense-pack applications. What Elena sees that others miss is how Newport Beach’s marine layer affects material selection - cellulose holds up better in the occasional roof leak from our winter storms, and she’ll tell you exactly why if you ask. Darnell K., Service Coordinator

He came to us from a property management background in 2021, so he’s used to homeowners who need a written scope to show an HOA or a landlord. Darnell manages the Documented Photo Record system - every image from every job uploads to your file before the crew leaves the driveway. He grew up in Santa Ana, lives in Costa Mesa now, and knows which Newport Beach neighborhoods have the older 2×4 rafter bays that complicate insulation depth. He also coaches youth basketball and applies the same patience to explaining vapor barrier placement to confused homeowners.

Jin started with us in 2024 after completing the HVAC program at Orange Coast College. He’s working toward his BPI certification and currently shadows Marcus on air-sealing detail work - the top plates, the electrical penetrations, the exhaust fan housings that most crews skip. Jin grew up in Irvine, so he’s familiar with the tract-home attic layouts we see in Newport Beach’s 1970s and 1980s construction, and he’s already developed a specialty in radiant barrier installation in the steep-pitched roofs above Newport Coast. He asks more questions than he answers, which is exactly what you want from someone learning to read a blower-door manometer. He surfs with Elena when the swell cooperates.
